Chalakudy: Strange markings found on walls at various places in Perinjanam panchayat in Thrissur district have created a sense of fear among the local residents.
Separate signs have been used to mark houses belonging to women, aged persons and NRIs.
The drawings have been found on the walls of houses near Chalakkal temple.
On Sunday night, the local residents had seen a group of unknown persons roaming in the area. As they were discussing the matter, the markings came to their notice.
Suspecting the involvement of thieves or Maoists behind the incident, they informed the police.
A police team led by Thrissur Rural SP reached the spot and conducted preliminary investigations.
