The case will be considered again on Tuesday. Shaji is also asked to give Rs 50,000 as court expense to Nikesh.
Azhikode MLA KM Shaji was disqualified by the high court on Friday. HC had also observed that election has to be conducted again at Azhikode. The move came on a petition filed by opposition candidate MV Nikesh Kumar in connection with the election. It was alleged in the petition that Shaji instigated communal polarization. The disqualification will prevail for six years.
At the same time, court rejected Nikesh's demand to declare him as the winner.
