Annie Raja and Kanam Rajendran.

Thiruvananthapuram: Reacting to the open ramarks of CPI National Executive member Annie Raja against the state police, CPI state secretary Kanam Rajendran said the party has no complaints about the police in Kerala.

No state leader has such complaints. We have conveyed it to Annie, Kanam said. This is an internal discussion of CPI and it need not create any controversy, he added.

Annie Raja had earlier said that an ‘RSS gang’ is working inside the police. Some officers deliberately try to defame the government policy in protecting women. The state needs a dedicated department and minister for woman protection, Annie said.

Kanam had earlier expressed dissatisfaction to the central leadership over Annie’s remark which was made without consulting the state leadership.
