State govt trying to dismiss Raju Narayana Swamy?
Thiruvananthapuram: The state government is reportedly going to dismiss Senior IAS officer Raju Narayana Swamy. According to reports, the state government has given a recommendation to the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions to dismiss Raju Narayana Swamy who holds the position of Additional Chief Secretary.
The government has taken the action against Raju Narayana Swamy when he has 10 more years left in service. If the union ministry accepts the recommendation, Raju Narayana Swamy will be the first IAS officer to be dismissed from service in the state.
The high level committee including senior officials from central and state services took the decision to dismiss Raju Narayana Swamy. He has been accused of charges like irresponsible and undisciplined behaviour while in central and state services, lack of attendance while serving in important positions and no government record of his services after completing the term with Coconut Development Board.
Raju Narayana Swamy has secured first rank in SSLC, Pre-Degree, GATE, IIT and Civil Service examinations. Also he has served as collector in five districts in Kerala. He was part of the team appointed by V. S. Achuthanandan to evacuate the land encroachment in Munnar. It was Raju Narayana Swamy who submitted the probe report on the land scam of former minister T. U. Kuruvilla.
