Thiruvananthapuram: Health department joint secretary and Kerala Medical Services Corporation Managing Director Dr Sriram Venkitaraman will enter wedlock with Alappuzha district collector Dr Renu Raj.
According to reports, the bureaucrats will get married at Chottanikkara Devi temple on April 28. Only close relatives will attend the function.
Interestingly, Renu and Sriram pursued Civil Services after completing their MBBS.
Sriram cleared the Civil Service Examination with the second rank in 2012. He rose to fame while serving as Devikulam sub-collector. But he faced strong protest after his speeding car mowed down journalist KM Basheer in 2019.
Renu Raj cleared the Civil Service Examination in 2014 in her first attempt. She is a native of Kottayam. She also took strict action against illegal constructions and land encroachments while serving as a sub-collector in Devikulam. She started her career as Thrissur Sub-collector.
