R Sreelekha-Dileep
Thiruvananthapuram: Former DGP R Sreelekha has been facing flak for defending actor Dileep in the 2017 actress attack case. Amid the controversy, a WhatsApp chat between Sreelekha and actor Dileep surfaced.
In the chat, Dileep expressed gratitude to Sreelekha for finding time to talk with him. Reacting to Dileep's messages, Sreelekha told him to watch her YouTube channel and subscribe.
The chat between Dileep and Sreelekha goes like this:
23.05.2021 - Dileep: Madam.. good afternoon. Hope you are fine. I'm actor Dileep. I called you. When free please give me a ring.
Sreelekha: This is my YouTube channel. Please do watch when you are free. It was nice talking to you.
Dileep: Ok. Sure, Madam. It was a pleasure talking to you. God Bless.

On Sunday, Sreelekha took to her YouTube channel and shared a video in which she claimed that Dileep is innocent in the actress attack case. She pointed out that Pulsar Suni, accused in the case, was involved in a similar crime earlier also.
The former IPS official also alleged that Dileep is trapped in the case and a photo produced by the probe team as an evidence on Dileep's links with Suni was fabricated. Sreelekha's arguments were questioned when the man who clicked the photo claimed that the photo is a genuine one. It is reported that the crime branch team which is probing the case is likely to interrogate Sreelekha amid the new developments.
