Andoor: In a remarkable achievement, Sree Pournami G Namboothiri, a native of Kottayam, has bagged the Reading Prize instituted by Andoor National Library to promote reading among habitual readers.

Sree Pournami, a Class 10 student of Mahatma Gandhi Higher Secondary School, Pala, secured the first prize after writing 80 book reviews within one year.

As per the competition guidelines, the reader should write the review of at least 12 books taken from the library.

Sree Pournami is daughter of MN Gopakumar and Sreeja. She also runs a YouTube channel namely ‘Madhuram Malayalam’ along with her twin brother.

The prize will be presented to the winner by panchayat president Belgy Emmanuel at a ceremony here on Sunday at 4 pm.
