Alappuzha: Bharath Dharma Jana Sena (BDJS) state general secretary Subash Vasu resigned from the post of chairman of Spices Board. It is reported that a rift in BDJS has resulted in the resignation. A letter in this regard has been sent to Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Subash and Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan are not in consensus. As rebel moves have become stronger within the party, Natesan had dissolved the Mavelikkara Union in which Subash was the president. A police complaint was filed against him alleging robbery of documents by taluk union administrator.

Subash was appointed as Spices Board chairman in July 2018. During the first edition of Modi government, it was one among the three important positions given to BDJS.
