Bengaluru: Indian Railways has decided to operate Christmas-New Year special services from Mysuru. The decision comes as a relief to Malayalis who are troubled by the commutation woes of the peak season.
Mysuru-Kochuveli service will operating on December 23 and 25. While Mysuru-Kannur service will be on December 30 and January 1. Both services will only have AC coaches. There will be Kochuveli-Mysuru service on December 24 and 26.
Time schedule:
- Mysuru-Kochuveli Express (06211): The service will start from Mysuru at 11:30 pm. It will reach KSR Bengaluru at 02:20 am, while the arrival at Cantonment station is scheduled at 02:25 am. The train will reach Kochuveli at 7:20 pm.
This is the first time that a Mysuru-Kannur service has been sanctioned. Apart from that, an additional coach was allocated to KSR Bengaluru-Kannur Express (16511).
