Special train from Delhi gets NOC from Kerala
Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala has given a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to the train from Delhi bringing Keralites back home.
There is no clarity as to when the train will depart from Delhi. It is learned that steps in this regard are underway.
Earlier, the Delhi government had sent a letter to Kerala seeking permission to conduct the train service, Now, the Kerala government has responded in a letter granting permission for the train service.
In the letter, the Kerala government has asked the Delhi government to make arrangements to bring Keralites, stranded in various parts of Delhi to the railway station. Information regarding the passengers and the train service date will be given later, the letter read.
On Friday, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had said that Delhi-Kerala special train will be operated soon.
Based on this, officials had asked Keralites stranded in various parts of Delhi, including students to send messages with their details. The facility was open till 8 am on Saturday.
Based on these messages, the list of passengers will be prepared and they will be allowed to return to Kerala in the special train, it is learned.
