Speaker not liable to check pros and cons of a case: P Sreeramakrishnan

It is not ideal to make controversy out of the action taken by the Speaker. It is a disrespect to the assembly and such attitude is immature and childish," the Speaker said without mentioning the name of K M Shaji.

Tirur: In response to the allegations raised by MLA K M Shaji, Speaker P Sreeramakrishnan stated that the Speaker is not responsible or liable to check the pros and cons of a case. The law should be allowed to proceed on its own ways, he added.

"I do not follow the policy of blurting out whenever one feels like saying. Those who have such behaviour should not judge me as I have not learnt such culture," the Speaker said.

MLA K M Shaji had alleged the other day that the Speaker is afraid of the chief minister and that the vigilance was allowed to start investigation as directed by the chief minster's office.

"It is not ideal to make controversy out of the action taken by the Speaker. It is a disrespect to the assembly and such attitude is immature and childish," the Speaker said without mentioning the name of K M Shaji. The Speaker said this while addressing the media.
