Southern railway to impose penalty of Rs 2000 for taking selfies near tracks

Thiruvananthapuram: The Southern railways has issued an order declaring that a fine of Rs 2000 will be slapped on the people who caught taking selfie near railway tracks.

If the passengers are found travelling in the doorway, they will be penalised of Rs 500, reads the order.

The railways has issued the new order following the death of college students at Chengalpettu in Tamil Nadu while taking selfies standing near the railway track.
