Kochi: In a major twist in the Solar sexual assault case, former ministers Adoor Prakash and AP Anil Kumar were questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday. MP Adoor Prakash MP was questioned in Delhi and Anil Kumar in Malappuram. The move came days after the interrogation of senior Congress leader KC Venugopal in the case.
Meanwhile, the investigation into the sexual assault complaint lodged against senior Congress leaders, including former CM Oommen Chandy and others, is in its final stage. CBI will also record the statement of Oommen Chandy and National Vice President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) AP Abdullakutty.
Currently, CBI is yet to find any substantial evidence in the case. Further, no scientific evidence was found to place the accused on the scene mentioned by the complainant.
The probe team will soon submit the final investigation report before the CBI court.
Earlier, CBI filed a report in court claiming that the sexual assault complaint against MP Hibi Eden is fabricated.
