Solar sex scandal case: CBI quizzes MP Hibi Eden

Kochi: The Central Bureau of Investigation has questioned MP Hibi Eden in connection with the Solar sex scandal case. The questioning, which took around one hour, was held at a central government guest house here on Friday.

Officials of the Thiruvananathapuram special unit of CBI interrogated the MP.

The state government handed over the Solar case to CBI during the first tenure of the Pinarayi Vijayan government. Following this, a case was registered against BJP national vice president AP Abdullakutty, Hibi Eden, and six congress leaders.

According to the case, Hibi Eden assaulted the complainant at the MLA hostel during the time of the 2012 assembly polls. Crime Branch has registered a case based on this revelation from the victim.

Meanwhile, CBI also named him on the list of the accused. As part of the probe, CBI also visited the MLA hotel along with the victim to collect evidence.

It is reported that Hibi Eden will be further questioned in the case. According to CBI, only a preliminary interrogation was conducted on Friday.
