Mumbai: Social activist Trupti Desai plans to visit Sabarimala shrine during the Mandalam month. She will forward a letter to the Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan and the SP seeking protection.
The 3-month long annual Mandalam-makaravilakku pilgrim season will begin from November 17 and Trupti Desai, who has been spearheading the right to pray movement in Maharashtra, plan to visit the temple during this time.
The state is witnessing a series of protests against the SC verdict of allowing women of all ages to enter the temple. Some of the groups wanted the Kerala government to bring out an ordinance to prevent the entry of women into the temple.
