Sobha Surendran criticises film stars for being silent on Hema Commission report

Kozhikode: BJP leader Sobha Surendran criticised the film stars for being silent even after Justice K Hema Commission report was submitted to the chief minister.

In a Facebook post, Sobha Surendran alleged that actors and directors like Prithviraj, Kamal and Parvathy who responded against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) are not showing the same commitment for protecting the self-esteem of their colleagues.

She further said that none of them have enquired with the government the follow-up action taken on the report or declared they would boycott those involved in ‘casting couch’. She added that they would have ended the silence if their social commitment was genuine.
