Kollam: The Crime Branch is questioning SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan in connection with the Kollam SN College golden jubilee fund mismanagement case.

A Crime Branch team led by an SP is questioning Vellappally at his house in Kanichukulangara.

The allegation is that Vellappally Natesan misappropriated the golden jubilee funds of Kollam SN College. Investigation in the case was started in 2004 following a direction from the court. The court had later directed to immediately submit the charge sheet in the case. It is based on this directive that the Crime Branch is questioning Vellappally Natesan.

It must be noted that during the golden jubilee celebrations of Kollam SN College in 1997-98, it was decided to construct an auditorium and a library complex. To generate money for the construction, an exhibition was organised and fund collection was also held.

The collected amount was deposited at the South Indian bank branch in Kollam, and it was allegedly misappropriated by Vellappally Natesan
