Kollam: A 10-year-old girl who was sleeping inside her house died after being bitten by a snake here. The deceased is identified as Adithya, daughter of Pathanapuram native Rajeev and Sindhu. She was a class 5 student of Mancode school.
The parents realized that the girl was bitten by snake in the wee hours of Saturday. First they took her to a primary health centre and then to the taluk hospital. As her condition worsened, she was later admitted to a private hospital in Thiruvalla. She died in the wee hours of Sunday.
Parents of the girl said that snake bit the girl while she was asleep inside the house. More details in this regard is yet to be known.
