Elephant tooth recovered from the gang in Muthanga on May 15.

Muthanga (Wayanad): Six people who were trying to smuggle an elephant tooth were arrested by the police in Muthanga on Monday (May 15) afternoon. The elephant tooth that was recovered from the jeep in which the accused were travelling in, weighed around 500 grams.

T Vishnu, A Sujith, Ranjith, Arshaknath, Aakarsh S Mohan and B Ajeesh were arrested in a vehicle inspection around 12 PM on Monday.

The smugglers were handed over to the Muthanga forest range officers.
