Kozhikode: BJP state president K Surendran urged for an all-party meeting to discuss the SilverLine project. It is not enough to discuss just with the Chief Minister's favourites, he said.

By declaring that the BJP will take up the K-Rail issue across the state, Surendran opined that a case has to be registered not against the protestors of child rights commission but against the police personnel.

Surendran asserted that the party will launch a huge protest with the support of those who may lose houses and shops due to the SilverLine project. The project is a threat to not only a few people who will be deprived of their residence, but also for the entire Kerala where the threat of flood looms, added Surendran.

He questioned the need of laying survey stones for conducting an environmental impact assessment and slammed the atrocities of police against the public who mark their protest against the project. Surendran added that Kerala is witnessing a dictatorial governance during the second term of Pinarayi government.
