Sivasankar likely to be added as accused in dollar smuggling case

Customs is looking for clues about the accomplices in dollar smuggling case from Swapna and Sarith.

Kochi: M Sivasankar, former Principal Secretary of Chief Minister who was arrested in gold smuggling case, is likely to be added as accused in dollar smuggling case registered by the Customs.

Meanwhile, Customs has begun interrogating Sivasankar and other gold smuggling case accused Swapna Suresh and PS Sarith together at the Kochi office. Customs is looking for clues about the accomplices in dollar smuggling case from Swapna and Sarith.

As per the information obtained by Customs, Sivasankar helped them to convert Indian rupee to dollar. Sivasankar is being quizzed over Swapna’s statement that he was aware and part of gold smuggling case.

It is reported that Sivasankar is denying Swapna’s claims and also his alleged involvement in dollar smuggling.
