Sivasankar discharged from Tvm medical college hospital
Thiruvananthapuram: Former Principal Secretary to Chief Minister M Sivasankar, who was admitted at the Thiruvananthapuram medical college hospital has been discharged. The medical board meeting convened on Monday afternoon decided that he need not be admitted further in the hospital.
Sivasankar, who was taken in Customs custody in connection with gold smuggling case, was admitted to hospital due to severe back pain.
Sivasankar left for his home after being discharged and will rest there for the next few days.
Meanwhile, the Kerala High Court on Monday, directed the Customs officials not to arrest Sivasankar until October 23, while considering his anticipatory bail plea. HC had earlier directed Enforcement Directorate also, not to arrest Sivasankar till Friday.
The petition will be considered again on Thursday.
