Sisters booked for stealing jewellery of passenger from bus

Kollam: East police nabbed siblings who stole a gold chain of 3.5 sovereigns from a passenger of a private bus. The accused was identified as Thoothukudi natives Kavya (26) and Maari (30).

The sisters attempted to rob gold chain of a passenger Lakshmikutty from a private bus which operates service on Ashramam- Dalavapuram route.

The accused cut the jewellery worn by Lakshmikutty when the bus reached Shankar’s Junction. Fortunately, Laksmikutty noticed this and informed her co-passengers. The bus employees soon rang up the police station and the cops reached on time to arrest the suspects.
