Idukki: CPM Idukki district secretary CV Varghese here on Saturday went hammer and tongs against State Congress president K. Sudhakaran over SilverLine project . Varghese declared that if Sudhakaran opposes SilverLine project, then the train will be running over the latter’s chest. He also slammed BJP and Congress over their stance on SilverLine project and alleged that both the parties are organizing people to restrict Kerala’s development.
“Sudharkan said he will uproot the K-Rail survey stones. Interestingly, what happens is that people in India are uprooting Congress and not just him. There is no other place where they have to be uprooted,” he mocked both Congress and Sudhakaran. He alleged that Youth Congress workers are spilling kerosene over people and are trying to kill them by setting them ablaze.
“If comrade Pinarayi has announced something like the high-speed rail, then he will face the next elections only after implementing the project. If Sudhakaran tries to oppose it, then the train will run over K Sudhakaran’s chest,” Varghese said.
Earlier this month, Varghese had made a derogatory speech against Sudhakaran. He said that it's only because of CPM's liberality that Sudhakaran is alive.
"It's because that we are not interested to murder a 'creepy' character that he is alive," said Varghese during a protest meet held in Idukki’s Cheruthoni against the murder politics of the Congress. The protest meet was summoned to counter the explanatory session organized by Congress after the death of SFI activist Dheeraj in Idukki district.
Notably, since the murder of the SFI activist, the scuffle between CPM and Congress in the district has intensified. Sudhakaran had publically defended Dheeraj murder case accused Nikhil Paily, a Youth Congress activist multiple times. Also in the explanatory session organized, Sudhakaran vehemently criticized CPM leaders. Amid this row, Varghese made back to back controversial remarks.
