New Delhi: Union Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw opined that the SilverLine project could cause a huge financial burden to both Centre and State. He asserted that a final decision regarding the project would be taken only after a detailed analysis.
The union minister told Mathrubhumi News that the SilverLine is a complex project, and hence the financial, engineering, social, and environmental aspects of the project have to be scrutinised. The minister added that the final decision on the project would be taken after a comprehensive study.
The Centre had informed the High Court that it is yet to approve the social impact assessment conducted by the state government for the SilverLine project. Therefore, the Centre informed that any move from the state government to acquire the land for the project is immature.
