Thiruvananthapuram: K-Rail, the agency spearheading SilverLine project, has refuted rumours that its proposed alignment is different from the one initially drafted. The clarification comes at a time when there are allegations that alignment of SilverLine has been altered for some influential individuals.

According to K-Rail, the alignment showcased in the website titled ’The Metro Rail Guy’ is fake. The agency pointed out that a straight line alignment drawn by connecting proposed SilverLine stations in a map has been shared as the alignment of the project on social media. K-Rail clarified that map is baseless. The agency also said that the same website itself says the alignment is a rough draft. Notably, K-Rail had dismissed rumours saying the map being circulated on social media is not the one drafted by them.

K-Rail has informed that they will publish the official alignment of SilverLine on their website soon. On June 9, 2020, Systra had submitted the final alignment. The cabinet had approved that and has submitted it before the Indian Railways. This version is available on their official Facebook page, K-Rail clarified.
