Kochi: Actor-producer Vijay Babu on a social media post said the 'silence is the best answer' to the reports over the ongoing enquiry into the sexual harassment case against him.
"Won’t get provoked irrespective of whatever happens. Won’t talk to media as directed by the honourable court irrespective of any provocation by the media. 100 percent Cooperating with the investigation. At the end truth will prevail. God bless, (sic)" he wrote.
Vijay was arrested on Monday in the case. As he had already secured a bail from the high court, he was let go after collecting evidence.
Meanwhile, an audio clip, purportedly of actor Vijay Babu, surfaced in which he is heard talking to a relative of the survivor of the sexual assault for a compromise.
He begged for forgiveness and said he would die if the complaint got out. "If the complaint is leaked, the police will celebrate it. I know their nature," he told the women on the other end.
When the receiver said she can't help and the complaint has gone out of the survivor's hand as Vijay "triggered" her, the actor says he accepts that he "triggered" her.
The conversation was believed to be made from abroad, when the accused was in Dubai.
Earlier, the survivor had told mathrubhumi.com that the actor offered her Rs 1 cr to settle the case out of court.
Actor-producer Vijay Babu was accused of sexual assault by offering to marry by an actress of a film he produced.
