Siddique murder case: Culprit Shibili taken to Nedumbura-Thazhpra estate for evidence collection.

Malappuram: Shibili and Farhana, accused in the murder of Tirur businessman Siddique, will be brought to Kozhikode on Tuesday, for evidence collection. They will be taken to the hotel room in Eranhipalam where murder took place and also to Siddique’s hotel in Kunnathupalam where Shibili had worked. The police are trying to gather maximum evidence before the monsoon hits the state.

The police retrieved crucial information on Monday after taking Shibili to Cheruthuruthy for evidence collection. The police had recovered Sidique’s car from Cheruthuruthy during their investigation .

On Monday, Shibili revealed to the police that he had discarded Siddique’s ATM card, cheque book, and towel in an old well in Cheruthuruthy. The culprits had withdrawn about Rs 1.5 lakhs from the victim’s account after killing him mercilessly,

The two bags with the lifeless body of the Tirur native businessman were recovered beneath the 9th hairpin curve on Attapady ghat road last week. The body parts stuffed in bags were taken to the spot by the duo in the victim’s car on May 19.

Meanwhile, Malappuram police have refused to hand over the case to Nadakkavu police. It should be noted that, despite the murder taking place in Kozhikode, crucial information was revealed in the investigation done on the basis of an FIR registered in Tirur police station by the relatives of the victim.

The Tirur magistrate court has released Shibili and Farhana into police custody for five more days, for gathering crucial information.
