Thiruvananthapuram: The district sessions court here on Monday granted bail to Shivaranjith and Nazeem, the two accused in the University College murder attempt case.
The court directed that the two must not enter the college. Despite receiving bail, both Shivaranjith and Nazeem will remain in prison as they are yet to receive bail in the PSC examination fraud case.
The murder attempt case was registered after the two stabbed Akhil, a third year political science student in July. The PSC examination fraud came following an investigation into how the two were in the PSC police constable rank list.
An investigation by the internal vigilance team of PSC found that Shivaranjith, Nazeem and Pranav had resorted to fraud during the constable examination to secure high ranks.
