Mocking comments flooding against a Twitter user who shared a tweet alleging that a dosa “baked” with “egg water” was served for him at the Cochin International Airport, MP Shashi Tharoor and many other Twitter users, especially Malayalis, derided the tweet and pointed out how the Twitter user Manish Jain might have got misled over the ‘dosa’ served at the airport.
Shashi Tharoor tweeted that he had misheard ‘thanda pani’ (cold water) as ‘anda pani’ (egg water) and “baked a huge blunder” through the post. Some posted that they were puzzled by the term "egg water" and many others were also offended for misspelling ‘Kochi’ as ‘Chochi’.
Following his first tweet against the food served at Cochin Airport, Manish Jain had requested the Chief Minister of Kerala, airport authority, FSSAI and Kerala Tourism department to intervene in the issue and asked to “kindly get the practice stopped to hurt the emotions of vegetarian and Jain’s travelling to Kerala (sic).”
When the tweet ignited a huge buzz on social media, Manish Jain said: “Yes I made with typing error, It was Kochi and not Chochi, The Dosa was make not bake... (sic),“ but he stood firm on his earlier allegations that the dosa was made with "egg water."
