New Delhi: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor said that he desired to take part in the seminar of the 23rd CPM Party Congress in Kannur. But as a congressman, he had to follow the word of the Congress President and dropped his wish. At the same time, he refused to comment on the participation of Congress leader KV Thomas in the party congress.

"When I informed my wish to attend the party congress seminar to Soniya Gandhi, she told me that I have to follow the directions of KPCC. She opined that it is better not to attend it. Hence, I decided to skip it," said Tharoor.

"KV Thomas did what he liked to do. I don't like to comment on his actions. Let him clarify his deeds alone," he added.

KV Thomas attended the seminar of the party congress neglecting the warning of high command.

KPCC chief K Sudhakaran shot off a letter to Sonia Gandhi immediately after Thomas took part in the national seminar as part of its ongoing 23rd Party Congress in Kannur and hailed Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan as the 'pride of Kerala'.
