Thiruvananthapuram: Police have registered a fresh case against Greeshma, key accused in Sharon murder case, for attempting suicide inside the police station. She is currently undergoing treatment at Thiruvananthapuram medical college hospital.
The crime branch probing the case recorded her arrest on Monday at the medical college. The Magistrate reached the hospital and remanded her in judicial custody.
Meanwhile, a special medical team will examine Greeshma. Police will take further action in the case as per the report of the medical team.
If the medical team decides to shift her from the ICU, she will be taken to a special police cell of the medical college. The probe team will approach the court seeking custody of the accused once the doctors give permission to discharge her.
Meanwhile, the probe team will take Greeshma's mother and uncle to Kaliyikkavila for collecting evidence in the case. The duo is booked for destroying evidence in the case.
In a statement to police, Greeshma's mother revealed that she had hidden the bottle of kashayam given to Sharon in an abandoned place which is 2 km away from her residence.
At the same time, Sharon's father demanded conspiracy charges to be slapped against Greeshma's mother. He alleged that Greeshma's mother and uncle prepared the poison to kill Sharon.
