Thiruvananthapuram: A complaint has been raised against SH Nursing College at Cherthala in Alappuzha for levying hefty sums as fees on students. The Nursing Council has found that more than Rs 30,000 was collected as fees by violating the protocols set by the Fee Regulatory Commission. The council has also filed a complaint with the Fee Regulatory Commission.
A few days back, Mathrubhumi News had reported that SH Nursing College management illtreated the students and made them to clean hospital wards. The complaint has surfaced following this.
The Fee Regulatory Commission has fixed Rs 80,500 as fee for B.Sc Nursing course. Though the college is charging Rs 13,000 for uniform, only three uniforms are given to the students. According to the findings of the Nursing Council, around Rs 30,000 is levied as extra amount by the college this way.
