Aparna Gouri

Kalpetta: The eyesight of SFI district vice president Aparna Gowri at Govt Polytechnic college in Meppadi was damaged in the attack of UDSF activists. She was attacked amidst the skirmishes that broke out during the college union election.

Aparna’s mother Sreejitha informed that she feels uneasy when light flashes onto her eyes. She is unable to look at the bright light outside, said Sreejitha. Doctors inferred that the blow received on head has affected Aparna’s sight.

She also suffered difficulty in breathing as the assailants had stamped on her chest. She cannot walk alone without support.

Aparna has been resting in her house at Chooralmala in Wayanad following the 9-day-long treatment at Govt Medical College in Kozhikode.

Police arrested 6 UDSF workers for assaulting Aparna. SFI alleged that a drug mafia named ‘Trabiok’ had attacked Aparna.
