Kochi: Amid allegations cropping up over “marklist controversy”, SFI state secretary PM Arsho has once again offered an explanation in the matter. Taking to Facebook, Arsho asserted that he did not pay the fee or appear for the examination and the personal attack was targeted against the party.
“While the news concerning the marklist of my third semester exams came out, I was attending an SFI camp in Edamalakudy. I came to know about the news only on my return journey and by the time the news had spread to all possible corners,” he wrote.
He further explained, “I got admitted to the archaeology department of Maharaja’s College in the 2020 batch. I have not written the third semester exams. While the exams were going on, I was not in Ernakulam, where the exam centre was located. I was absent for all five subjects of the semester.”
“After the exam, on October 26, 2022, the results were published by afternoon at 1.42 pm and it was clearly mentioned that I did not appear for the exams,” Arsho said.
He also asserted that the mark list circulated since the other day was related to the regular examination of 2021 batch students. “I am not the person who should take that regular exam. I did not pay the fee or register for the exam,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, the examination department dismissed Arsho’s allegations that there were irregularities in the results. “If a student pays the fee and register for the exams, then the results will be published,” they added.
