The incident took place at Sahara Boy’s Hostel for engineering students. According to some hostelers, a few students from other departments of the campus came from outside and committed violence.

Kochi: Five students were injured in a clash between SFI activists and hostel union activists in the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT).

The incident took place at Sahara Boys' Hostel for B.Tech students here on Wednesday. According to some inmates at the hostel, a few students from other departments barged into the hostel and unleashed violence.

At the same time, it is alleged that the hostel inmates also attacked others. Meanwhile, a group of students set fire to the beds in the hostel. An investigation is underway into the incident.
