Palakkad: Youth Congress state president Shafi Parambil stated that the truth behind the murder of the SFI leader has not been revealed yet.
"The witnesses and police have to bring clarity to it. A clash might have happened and it ended up claiming a life. However, Youth Congress will not justify the murder," added Shafi Parambil.
"The Youth Congress will never support a crime in the name of religion, politics or any other grounds and the party has no intention to appear in the list of the parties that gain from killings, " he said.
He also criticised the moves to drag his party in the murder case.
He slammed Kodiyeri Balakrishnan and AA Rahim for accusing Congress of plotting the murder. By mentioning TP Chandrasekharan murder, Shafi said that the CPM and DYFI are the godfathers of planned murders. Youths like Sarathlal and Kripesh are the victims of this, alleged Shafi.
Shafi also criticised the violence that erupted across the state over the murder of Dheeraj.
The Youth Congress leader also demanded a detailed probe over the SFI’s claim that the police had denied taking injured Dheeraj to hospital.
