Idukki: The police arrested the father and two other accused in connection with the rape of a Class 7 girl in Nedumkandam here.
According to reports, both the father and his relative sexually assaulted the minor girl, whose mother is no more.
The girl was in the hostel for pursuing her studies and the father allegedly raped her when she came home for some days. While the relative allegedly molested her while she was at her house for a visit.
The incident came to light after the girl revealed the ordeal during a counseling session at her school. During the session, she also revealed about her father’s friend who allegedly raped her. The police have booked him too. The person presently is abroad.
