Thiruvananthapuram: Former MLA PC George has been arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a woman. According to reports, police recorded his arrest here on Saturday
It is learnt that a woman who was involved in the solar scam case lodged the complaint against PC George. Subsequently, Museum Police Station registered a case against PC George.
According to the complaint, PC George invited the woman to the guest house in Thycaud on February 10 this year where she was subjected to sexual abuse. She also alleged that she received inappropriate messages from PC George.
Meanwhile, PC George had been summoned to the guest house in Thycaud for interrogation over a case for allegedly conspiring against the government. The woman filed the complaint as the interrogation was progressing.
The audio clip of the conversation between the complainant and PC George had come out following the allegation levelled by Swapna Suresh against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The complainant agreed that the conversation had taken place and said that the assault took place on the same day.
