Kozhikode: Two Malappuram natives were taken into police custody in connection with a sexual assault complaint filed by a Kottayam woman.
According to the complainant, she was intoxicated and sexually assaulted at a hotel in Kozhikode after promising to offer a role in a serial. The alleged incident happened on March 4.
The woman got to know about the role in the serial through a Kozhikode-based artist. The accused called the woman to a hotel in Kozhikode with the claim to discuss about the role. The accused allegedly spiked the drink and sexually assaulted her.
However, reports said the two were taken into custody only over suspicion.
