Severed leg in TVM waste plant: Police crack murder case, arrest two

Thiruvananthapuram: In a major breakthrough, police have managed to crack the mystery behind the severed human legs found in a solid waste processing plant in Thiruvananthapuram. The limbs found in the plant near the medical college have been identified as that of a goon leader Kanishkar from Tamil Nadu. Police have also arrested two in connection with the incident.

In August 2022, police found body parts from various parts of the district. The limbs were found by the employees of the plant in Muttathara on August 15 in a well connected to the pipe that brings the waste from the medical college. Initially, the police thought limbs might have accidentally come from medical college. However, this was ruled after more body parts were found in different parts of the city.

According to police, the goon was murdered following a skirmish in Tamil Nadu. Following the incident, Kanishkar was called to Thiruvananthapuram by the accused and slaughtered. Later, the body parts were abandoned in various places.
