Cops suffer injuries during arrest of MDMA case accused in Kannur

Kannur: Policemen were injured while trying to nab a drug case accused from a market in Kannur on Wednesday.

P K Shamshad (29), accused of selling MDMA and other drugs, was nabbed by a team led by Kannur Town Inspector PB Binu Mohan. Four policemen were injured while trying to stop Shamshad from escaping.

The incident happened on Wednesday afternoon in Puthiyatheru Market. Shamshad, absconding for almost two months in cases registered in Kannur Town Police, was nabbed while selling flowers in the market. The police team stopped him while trying to flee from the market.
