Setback to Dileep in actress attack case; HC rejects plea to consider cases separately
Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Monday rejected the plea submitted by Dileep requesting the court to consider the actress attack case and the case on threatening by Pulsar Suni as two separate cases.
The trail in the actress attack case is progressing at the court. Accused including Dileep, who is the 8th accused, have been charged with offences.
Dileep had stated in the plea that Pulsar Suni and other two accused hatched conspiracies, threatened over phone and tried to take money from him.
Dileep had requested the court to cancel charging him together in cases where is an accused and a victim. However, prosecution is of the stand that Pulsar Suni has not blackmailed Dileep and only asked for the money Dileep had promised for attacking the actress.
Prosecution also said that charging Pularsar Suni with the offence of blackmailing Dileep was a mistake from the trial court. The final report from police doesn’t mention this, prosecution further informed the court.
Following this Dileep’s petition was rejected.
On Monday, the court cross examined Kunchacko Boban and Bindu Panicker in the case.
