Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Thursday refused to grant an interim relief to actor Dileep as it declined to scrap the investigation into the alleged conspiracy to murder the probe officers of the 2017 actor sexual assault case.
The court stated that it does not wish to interfere in the case. It added that a detailed argument needs to be heard before deciding on the plea.
Actor Dileep was charged with conspiracy to kill the investigation officers of the 2017 case, based on the 'revelations' of director Balachandra Kumar. The court had earlier asked Dileep to submit his mobile phones for scientific investigation. The Crime Branch, after the examination, informed the court that Dileep removed crucial evidence before submitting the phones. However, Dileep denied the accusation.
Earlier, the court had refused to intervene in the further probe on the original case, triggered by the statements of Kumar.
