Pathanamthitta: Special arrangements made in Sabarimala to control the crowd will come into effect from Sunday onwards. Sannidhanam Special Officer R Anand also informed that there would be a separate queue for children and the elderly awaiting darshan.

Earlier, the High Court had directed the government to establish a separate queue in Sabarimala. Following this, a decision was taken to add a separate queue from the Nadapandal. Further, a waiting area will also be arranged for children here.

"Those who visit the temple along with children can use the special queue and ascend the 18 holy steps (Pathinettam padi) from Nadapandal. Further, seating facilities will be arranged if children are tired, he said.
