Kozhikode: A vibrant dance performance by a group of senior woman doctors has lately been making rounds on social media. The video shows eight women grooving to the popular song ‘Pala Palli Thirupalli’ from the movie Kaduva.

The dancers in the video are Dr VK Sulochana, Dr VK Parvathy and Dr Vasumathy, Dr Ambujakshi, Pushpalatha Vinod, Radha Muraleedharan, Sicily Joy and Chandrika Achuthan. Four of them were batchmates at Kozhikode Medical College in 1966, while the rest are wives of their classmates.

The dance was performed at their college reunion event held in Kumarakom. “After all the rehearsals and the performance, our minds and bodies have become more young,” said Dr Parvathy.

75-year-old Dr Sulochana is the senior most person in the team. The song was chosen by Lakshmi, wife of her classmate Narayanankutty. The choreography is by Neelambal Chandran.
