Palakkad: Three people have been arrested for stealing cows during night. Palakkad Town North police arrested Mohammad Hafeez (28), his wife Anseena (25) and Anseena's brother Anas (27) from Malappuram. They were caught trying to steal a cow in Sekharipuram area on Sunday.
Hafeez and Anseena roam around the place during daytime on a bike noting houses with cows. Cows are robbed during night and are sold at the Manjeri market. A Traveller vehicle has been remodelled removing seats and making space for the cows to stand. A probe was conducted by police after receiving many complaints about missing cows.
