Search continues for 2 women who jumped into river in Vaikom

It is suspected that the two women who went missing from Chadayamangalam in Kollam the other day, jumped into the river.

Kottayam: Search operation is continuing for the two women who jumped into Muvvattupuzha river in Vaikom here the other day. The search was stopped temporarily and resumed on Sunday morning.

The two young women jumped into the river from Murinjappuzha bridge on Saturday by 8 at night. The local residents informed the police about the incident. Though police and fire force arrived at the spot and started searching, they stopped it due to poor visibility.

Search operation resumed on Sunday morning with the help of scuba divers and other equipment. It is suspected that the two women who went missing from Chadayamangalam in Kollam the other day, jumped into the river. Police found the footwear and kerchief of the women from the bridge.
