Palakkad: over 200 students, who were ousted from online classes after failing to pay special fees, were reinstated at two schools in Palakkad district.

Over 200 students studying at Chinmaya Vidyalaya in Thathamangalam and Kollengode were expelled from the online classes over non-payment of special fees.

As the news made headlines, the school authorities reinstated the students within hours.

Parents of these students already paid the tuition fees but failed to raise the amount needed for the special fees due to the COVID crisis. However, the school authorities ousted the students from the classes.

Though the parents informed the school authority that the special fee will be paid once the school is reopened, the management refused to accept it.
