Schools can't be reopened now; auditoriums can open, says CM
Thiruvananthapuram: The government granted permission for the auditoriums, which are closed due to COVID crisis, to open. However, they have to strictly follow certain conditions.
The chief minister announced this during the press conference after the COVID review meeting. However, the schools cannot be opened in September and October under the current circumstances, he stated.
The chief minister also warned that as more relaxations in rules are provided, the disease transmission will only increase. The country is slowly reversing from the complete lockdown step by step.
Public transportation is not fully restored in the state at present. Also there are only very few passengers. This will change in the coming days, he said.
All vehicles will start plying and the closed shops and other establishments will reopen. Then the rate of disease transmission will multiply. It is still increasing, the chief minister made it clear.
